What Does Breastfeeding and Your iPhone Have in Common?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed.  Thanks for visiting!

Breastfeeding Management softwareNo, I wasn't just trying to bait you with that headline...  The Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition has developed Breastfeeding Management, in their words, "a reference for supporting breastfeeding mothers".  This is software that can be downloaded from their website for FREE and will run on your iPhone, your iPod Touch or your Palm PDA.

What will they think of next?  Sigh, almost makes me want to have another baby so I can try it out...

Some of the highlights of the software include:

  • breastfeeding management for new mothers
  • breastfeeding resources
  • Approach to Early Breastfeeding tool (for evaluation and triage of breastfeeding in the first 2 weeks of life and to help those having difficulty initiating breastfeeding)
  • FAQ's
  • database of medications and general guidelines for their use by lactating women

I don't have an iPhone (yet) and my iPod is a Nano.  I also no longer have a Palm.  Oh ya, and I'm not breasfeeding anymore either (duh) so I'll have to live vicariously through YOU.  Tell me if you've downloaded and/or used this software.  I'd love to hear all about it!
